    The meaning

Bushidō, “the way of the warrior,” is the code linked to Japan’s samurai: courage, honor and self control, beyond fighting skill. The front shows a samurai in full armor and horned kabuto holding his katana in both hands, ringed by the seven virtues in kanji: 義 Integrity, 勇 Courage, 仁 Compassion, 礼 Respect, 誠 Honesty, 名誉 Honor and 忠義 Loyalty. Below him, BUSHIDO over a torii gate marked 武士道. The back shows a katana planted in the earth before a rising sun, a banner reading 武士道 and a cherry blossom branch.

On good days and hard days

    • On good days, it reminds you to stay modest and keep training.
    • On hard days, it reminds you that courage is also composure: you decide how to use your strength.

    Why a key tag

Your keys are the first thing you pick up and the last thing you put down. This tag puts the seven virtues in your hand every time you leave the house. It carries the same artwork as the Bushido Coin.

    Give it

A meaningful gift for a black belt, a grading, a sensei, a teammate before a tournament or anyone who trains. It arrives in its own retail blister with a free velvet bag, ready to give.

    Questions

    What do the kanji mean?
They are the seven virtues of bushidō: 義 gi, integrity; 勇 yū, courage; 仁 jin, compassion; 礼 rei, respect; 誠 makoto, honesty; 名誉 meiyo, honor; 忠義 chūgi, loyalty. 武士道 reads bushidō, the way of the warrior.

Who is the Bushido Key Tag for?
Martial artists of every style, students and senseis, service members, and anyone who wants a daily reminder to act with honor.

Is it the same design as the Bushido Coin?
Yes, the artwork is the same on both sides. The key tag simply adds a loop so it can hang from your keys.

Will my key tag look exactly like the photos?
Very close, but never identical. Each key tag is antiqued with a special patina that settles differently every time, so small variations in color and shading from the photos are normal.

Care: keep it dry and wipe it with a soft cloth. No polishing needed; the aged finish is part of the look.
