Why wood

Wood has weight in the hand and looks good closed on a shelf. It is the box for the gifts that matter most, when the coin is meant to be kept for years.

How it works

Set the coin in the slot over the ribbon tab and close the lid. To take it out, lift it by the ribbon tab.

Choose it for a retirement, a 40th or 50th birthday, a wedding, a graduation, or for someone who has just come through a hard year. Pair it with a coin chosen for that person.

Is a coin included?
No. The coin in the photos shows the fit and is sold separately. Pick yours in the shop.

Is the black gift box in the photos included?
No. The black outer box in one photo is there for display only.

What is the difference between this and the velvet box?
The velvet box for 1 coin and the other velvet boxes are lighter and cloth covered, in sizes for 1 to 5 coins. This wooden box is heavier and polished, made for a single milestone gift.

Will it fit other challenge coins?
It is made for 39 mm coins. Coins of a different size will not sit securely.

About the wood: it is natural wood, so the grain and tone vary slightly from box to box. No two look exactly alike.
