Our story
An epiphany experience with life quotes brought to life the EDC Reminder Coins. There was a period in my life when I couldn’t get to an end almost any big or small project that I took, on a personal or a professional level. I kept procrastinating or invented reasons not to carry on with whatever activities I started.
To try to motivate myself I began to write my favourite inspirational quotes on little pieces of paper.-a small reminder, to stay focused and to carry on. It quickly became my source of motivation and inspiration. I would keep these quotes in my wallet for a while, but paper doesn’t last long – I often had to replace the little pieces of paper. It was then when I decided to design a coin that could represent a durable everyday reminder and a cool everyday carry item at the same time.
After creating my first coin, my friends asked me to share with them my motivational reminder. The first coin I gave away was a birthday gift to my best friend. He loved it and I excited to see his excitement. I searched the internet for the most effective motivational quotes, and I also received a lot of suggestions from my family and friends. That’s how the EDC Reminder Coins idea came to life. When I have had designed and created more coins I shared them with a fundraising platform community.
